The truth is that most law students are smart, motivated, hard-working people who get *wrecked* by the first year of law school. WHY?
❌ We're used to getting A's in school, so we assume that we can study the same way we did in college and expect the same results. Spoiler alert: we can't.
❌ The crushing workload puts us in "just trying to survive" mode, leaving us playing catch-up from day one.
❌ We've been told "there's nothing you can do" to prepare for law school...so we have no clue there's another way.
I'm not going to sugarcoat it. 1L year is a beast.
